Job Profile: Within Technologies Ltd, an engineering design consultancy and software house focused on additive manufacturing is currently looking for an experienced individual to join their rapidly growing team in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, NYC and fill the role of Head of Consulting.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and delivery of consultancy projects. This role is very critical considering Within Technologies has built its’ reputation on consulting some of the biggest names in aerospace, tooling, automotive, footwear, and jewellery with a focus specific to light weighting and design optimization for additive manufacturing.
This role requires good organisational and time management skills to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. Individual will run his or her own team, interface with the client, negotiate consulting deals, and ensure successful delivery based on customer requirements.
Candidates must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work on their own initiative. Mechanical engineers are preferred with an above average understanding of Finite Element Analysis.
Successful candidates must have worked in a Senior Mechanical Engineer role or higher leading a small team for a minimum of 5 years.
The successful candidate must have excellent business acumen and liaise with a wide range of people from clients to members of their team, as well as upper management.
Key responsibilities will include
• Liaising with clients, quote and negotiating contracts, and successful execution
• Manage his or her own team to ensure on-time completion
• Run project meetings and ensure the team are aware of the project requirements and deadlines
• Hands on participation in project activities to ensure successful delivery
• Basic Account Management
• Obtain feedback and report to the MD
• Management Information reports for the board
